What is Ouroboros Originals? 

We are a print-on-demand online store creating unique, white pilled artwork to inspire and personalize homes. 

 

Can you explain what a "print-on-demand store" is?

Sure thing. A POD store is an online store which sells custom made items. Physical stores have backrooms and trucks where already created merchandise is stored and delivered. A POD store has no merchandise until a customer orders a specific item. 

 

How, exactly, does that work?

Let's say you order a 16x16 print of our "Rebirth" poster with the rosewood frame. Once your order has been processed, it goes to our print-on-demand affiliate, Printful. Printful's team will print the "Rebirth" design onto the 16x16 matte paper, insert it into the rosewood frame and ship it to the chosen address. 

 

How long does that take? 

2-3 business days. 

 

What is an ouroboros? And what does it mean?

An ouroboros is a symbol that goes all the way back to ancient Egypt. Usually, it is depicted as as a snake with its body in a circle or as a snake eating its own tail. It generally symbolizes renewal. We chose it for OO because renewal is our taproot theme. Renewal of beauty. Renewal of art that's unique and captivating. Renewal of  optimism about the future. 

 

Does someone actually paint these designs? 

No. All our designs are created through AI image generation. 

 

So...is it really art? That seems a little disingenuous. 

Art is the combination of human ingenuity and imagination onto a specific medium (paint, words, cinema, etc) Here, the medium onto which our ingenuity and imagination are projected is pixels. 

 

I heard AI will take over the world. Is that true? 

Probably not.
