Plants that have memory and a capacity for "thinking."
Immobile beings that can spread of army of children for miles in circumference.
Rooted things that are also part of the skyline.
To capture these contradictions, the idea came to create a tree piece made of fire and water, the two elements most at war with each other and, without which, life would be static. A minimalist approach was taken so as to not steal anything away from the form of the tree itself; colors were used instead to capture the essence of the elements, blue for water and red for fire. The roots and left hand half of the tree were made blue since roots take up water and the left hand is associated with the moon and, thus, water. The right hand side and the background were made in reds since the right hand is associated with action and movement.
Arboreum II: Sea & Sky, Fire & Water framed poster is printed on thick matte paper. The matte black frame adds an extra touch of class.
